43rd Annual Pans Convention Kicks Off In an Amzaing Style

It is a tradition of the Pharmaceutical Association of Nigeria students (PANS) national chapter to organise a national convention for all pharmacy students across Nigeria.

This year's event took place at Olabisi Onabanjo University,  Sagamu campus. It was led by Mr. Samuel Oluwaseyi Akanbi.
Title: 'ECHO 18'

The convention had in attendance fourteen schools of pharmacy across the Nigeria:

  • Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU)
  • University of Uyo
  • Nnamdi Azikiwe University
  • University of Nigeria, Nsukka
  • Delta State University
  • University of Ilorin, Kwara State
  • Obafemi Awolowo University
  • Ile Ife, Osun State
  • University of Ibadan, Oyo State
  • Usmanu Dan Fodiyo University, Sokoto.
  • Kogi State University
  • University of Maiduguri
  • University of Port Harcourt
  • Niger-Delta University.
The first program that took place was the opening ceremony with Pharm. Moses Oluwalade (M.D Miral Flash Nig Ltd.) as the chairman of the program.
Other dignitries present at the event include:

  • Pharm. (Dr) Lolu Ojo
  • Pharm. Gbenga Falabi,
  • Pharm. (Alh) Ahmed Yakasai, who was represented by Pharm. Emeka Duru
  • Dr Oluwayemisi Bamiro,
  • Pharm. Daniel Orumwense represented by Pharm. Agbojo Olukemi
  • Pharm. Abdul Hafeez
  • And many others.

The Chairman of event Pharm. Moses Oluwalade delivered his speech, encouraging students to embrace the hallmarks of success which include dedication, diligence and hard work.

While discussing on the theme of the program “Sowing the Seeds of Professional Impact: Working to Transcend the Generations of Pharmacists to Come” the M.D Miral Flash Nigeria Ltd describe the qualities of a good leader which include commitment, confidence, honestly and creativity. He discourage students of being egocentric.

Pharmacists are among the noble professionals on earth, so I urge you today not to be intimidated, you should raise your heads. You are not supposed to be a second class citizen as far as healthcare family is concerned. You should also be proactive, be courageous, plan ahead and be flexible” he advised.
